McHenry, IL. — To remember our veterans, tell their incredible stories, and honor their legacy and sacrifice this upcoming Veterans Day, State Sen. Craig Wilcox encourages families to submit a tribute and photo of their loved for the Wall of Honor at the State Capitol.
The stories and photos will be displayed in the rotunda of the Illinois Capitol Nov. 5 – Nov. 16, 2019.
“The Wall of Honor display is a simple but respectful way to show our respect for our veterans, and honor their patriotism and sacrifice,” said Wilcox (R-McHenry).
Please email a photo and written story (max: 250 words) along with the following information: name, military branch (Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, National Guard, Navy) and conflict served (Afghanistan, Iraq, September 11, Gulf War, Vietnam, Korea, WWII, WWI, Peacetime, other). Military photos are preferred but not necessary.
