State Senator Craig Wilcox (R-McHenry) is partnering with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office on Tuesday, July 28, with hopes of connecting residents of the 32nd Senate District with more than $5 billion in unclaimed property, cash, and other assets. From 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Fox Lake’s Lakefront Park Building, attendees can meet with a counselor from the Treasurer’s Office to see whether any of the unclaimed items are theirs. In addition to helping people search for property and cash, counselors can help them file claims.
“I’m always looking for ways to help the people I serve, and unclaimed property events are one of the easiest ways to put money back into the hands of local families,” said Wilcox. “Over the years, my office has helped residents of the 32nd District recover nearly $4 million in unclaimed assets. It’s incredibly rewarding to connect people with money they never expected to receive.”
ICASH / Unclaimed Property Day
Tuesday, July 28
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Lakefront Park Building
10 Riverview Avenue
Fox Lake, IL 60020
“There’s a chance the State Treasurer is holding money that belongs to you,” Wilcox added. “Whether it’s from an old bank account, an insurance payment, utility deposit, paycheck, or an inheritance, it only takes a few minutes to find out. I encourage everyone to stop by, check for their name, and claim what’s rightfully theirs.”
