State Senators Craig Wilcox (R-McHenry) and Darby Hills (R-Barrington Hills) are inviting area veterans and their families to a complimentary Veterans Luncheon and Expo on Saturday, Oct. 24, to recognize their service and connect them with valuable resources and support.
“As a retired Air Force Colonel, I understand the importance of honoring those who have worn our nation’s uniform and ensuring they have access to the benefits and services they have earned,” said Wilcox. “This luncheon is an opportunity for veterans to connect with one another, share their experiences, and learn more about the resources available to them and their families. We are proud to bring our communities together to recognize their service and sacrifice.”
Attendees can enjoy lunch, fellowship, and guest speakers while visiting an expo featuring organizations that provide programs, benefits, and services for veterans and their families. The event is designed to bring veterans together and help them make connections with organizations that can assist with their needs.
“Our veterans have made extraordinary sacrifices to protect our freedoms, and we have a responsibility to show them our gratitude through meaningful support,” said Hills. “I’m pleased to co-host this event to celebrate our local veterans, hear their stories, and help ensure they know about the resources available to them and their loved ones.”
