State Senator Craig Wilcox (R-McHenry) is partnering with the Illinois Treasurer’s Office on Thursday, June 26, with hopes of connecting residents of the 32nd Senate District with more than $5 billion in unclaimed property and cash. From 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Fox Lake District Library, attendees can meet with a counselor from the Treasurer’s Office to learn if some of the unclaimed items are theirs. In addition to helping people search for property and cash, counselors can help them file claims.
“We have had tremendous success in helping people find cash and property they didn’t even know they were owed,” said Wilcox. “My staff actively works on connecting constituents with cash and property owed to them, and over the last few years we have put more than $3.4 million into the hands of residents of the 32nd District.”

“Right now, the state could be holding inheritance money or funds from a forgotten bank account that belongs to you,” added Wilcox. “Don’t let it go to waste. Stop by to see if you are owed money and claim what belongs to you.”
