To date, statistical information regarding the outbreak of COVID-19 in Illinois has been limited.
I am joining several of my Senate Republican colleagues seeking more information, so the public has a full picture of the impact of this virus.
We are filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Illinois Department of Public Health, requesting a breakout of their data and metrics based on the state’s 11 Emergency Medical Service areas, dating back to April 15.
Illinois is a large, geographically diverse state. This information will help show the impact of the virus across multiple regions of the state.
